Operational Accountant Job in Nottinghamshire, Midlands UK
Our client, a highly successful niche FMCG business is seeking an experienced Operational Accountant following continued growth. They are within easy access of the A1. This offers the right individual a great opportunity to make a real difference and play a strategic role in continuing to driving the business forward.
Working closely with the marketing and buying teams, the role will include the following duties:
* In-depth manipulation of data and analysis of information from the business to create solutions and develop promotions, pricing and costing data to move the business forward and reduce risk
* Working with Commercial Managers to drive efficiencies
* Liaising with promotions teams to give financial support, costings and pre/ post promotional analysis
* Support the marketing and buying teams through value added analysis to drive the profile
* Development and management of cost, margin and price analysis
* Carrying out a variety of ad-hoc projects, strategic planning and `what if` scenarios
The ideal candidate will:
* Have vast experience of a similar commercial position within the FMCG/ Retail sector
* A good understanding of commercial reporting, costing and promotional analysis
* Able to give financial knowledge to non financial managers
* Have a logical analytical approach to problem solving and be a self starter
* Must be CIMA/ACCA Qualified
