Operational Finance Controller Job in Freeport 61032, Illinois US

 

This position will report directly to the Americas Operational Finance Director and is an impact role providing hands-on financial support and guidance to our Operations Team including the Global Integration Manager and Freeport Site General Manager.  As a member of this team, the roll will provide cost accounting support insuring data integrity and analyses of spending to the forecast.  It is essential for this role to not only deliver technically but also foster the relationship of the site team with corporate personnel at HQ and each receiving site.

 

 

RESPONSIBILITIES INCLUDE:

 

·         Coordinate, consolidate and prepare the monthly quarterly actual results and forecasts which will be presented to Operations Mgt.  This will include Balance Sheet reviews and reconciliations for Inventory accounts and variance analyses to the forecast.

 

·         Consolidation and report out of the weekly pulse which includes the status of the production, performance inventory progression to our monthly quarterly forecast.

 

·         Work with the Global Integration and Site GM as a business partner to assist with the cost reporting on ramp-down activity as we wind down production and transfer to each receiving site.  Provide updates for the weekly pulse.

 

·         Support and advise policies and procedures in accordance with GAAP Sox compliance as well as our corporate policies which includes our fiduciary responsibilities to protect the company assets along with our continual diligence towards the strengthen of internal controls.

 

 

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS INCLUDE:

 

·         Undergraduate degree focus in Finance or Accounting. 

CMA/CPA/MBA preferred.

 

·         Four plus years of experience in manufacturing finance and accounting.

Need at least three of the most recent years in a global role within a medium/large operation.

 

·         Ability to manage and lead tasks to completion

 

·         Proficient in Microsoft office – Very strong excel/power point

 

·         Database applications: Oracle and/or SAP and Hyperion experience preferred.

 

·         Excellent people management skills and ability to lead a strong finance team.

 

·         Strong written and oral communications skills.

 

·         Ability to develop strong partnership / teambuilding relationships within a cross functional environment.

 

·         Effective time management, organization, and prioritization skills.
