Operational & Investment Risk Manager Wealth Management – Asia recruitment

The Role
Successful candidate will be assisting with the implementation of the bank's Operational Risk Framework for WM- Emerging Markets - Asia, with a focus on Singapore and banking and credit operations; ensuring alignment with the enterprise-wide ORM strategy for the management of operational risk (ORM), and enabling improved decision-making that explicitly considers operational risk.

You will also be overseeing the adequacy and strength of the control environment in WM- Emerging Markets - Singapore, with a focus on banking and credit operations, and recommends management action to ensure the operational risk profile supports the achievement of business objectives. Providing challenge function to senior mgt regarding issues of operational risk and working co-operatively with the Head of Risk for Emerging Markets.

You will also be overseeing the adequacy and strength of the control environment in WM- Emerging Markets - Singapore, with a focus on Discretionary Investment Management, and recommends management action to ensure the Investment risk profile supports the achievement of business objectives. Provides challenge function to senior mgt regarding issues of Investment risk.

Your Profile
Successful candidates must be a Degree holder with at least 7 years in Operational Risk experience. You need to have good knowledge of leading operational risk practices, investment risk and regulatory requirement and expectations in Wealth Management, Emerging Markets and Asia businesses.

You must also have progressive experience in the financial services industry with significant management experience, control mindset, maturity level and skill / judgment to be able to deal effectively with senior managers within WM- Emerging Markets - Asia, good impact and influence skills.

Apart from strong problem solving skills, you must also be analytical (including qualitative analysis), research, and quantitative skills, strong knowledge of WM- Emerging Markets - Asia products, processes and organization. You must have strong presentation and communication (verbal and written) skills in both English and Mandarin. You also need to have good impact and influential skills and willingness to travel at least 25% of the time.
