Operational Manager – Operations/Process Improvement – $120k+ recruitment
New role is now available at a prestigious international bank responsible for managing Operational Risk in a first line of defence capacity. Our client is looking for someone with Lean Six Sigma Methodology experience, who has a broad understanding of Global Markets operations and the inherent risks.
This role will provide strategic direction in ensuring the operational risks being faced by the organisation are adequately adressed and mitigated.
Duties will entail-
- Responsible for identification of operational risks and delivery of the operational risk management process and culture in the organisation
- Process improvement and risk mitigation using Lean Six Sigma Methodology
- Assisting with managing relationships between all departments of the bank in addressing operational risks
- Assisting with managing compliance issues
- Assist with the preparation of material required for the quarterly risk meetings.
- Manage the regulatory information required by the various regulatory bodies APRA, AUSTRAC, RBA, ASIC.
- Assist senior management in new projects and new products being delivered.
Suitable candidates will possess -
- 3-8 years working knowledge and experience with the banking sector preferably in operational risk or audit.
- Experience of Lean Six Sigma Methodology
- Knowledge of international banking practices and procedures
- Ability to be accurate and have attention to detail
- Sound understanding of the banking and local regulatory environment
- Strong time management skills
- Finance related university degree.
