About the Program
The Custody Foundation Program (CFP) is a high profile, highly visible and exciting project to re-engineer the operating systems, processes, and trade flows of Worldwide Securities Services (WSS). The project is sponsored by and has visibility to WSS and Treasury Services (TS) senior management. It will rationalise the current operating model through increased automation, introducing workflow management across the business process and rationalising applications that support the business today.
CFP is a multi year change program consisting of 35 projects that include the implementation of new functionality and the retirement of legacy applications.
Job Description
A key part of the success of the program overall will be to ensure Operational Readiness within the global organisation of operational business units from legacy platforms to the new platform. This effort will be led by migration managers that will lead the cross functional effort to migrate operations which will include internal service teams.
The role will be based in London. As a readiness migration manager you will be responsible for 6 key areas as follows
1.
Operational Readiness Infrastructure covering strategy documents for design through to
delivery including frameworks, time lines and progress related scorecards2.
Communication: Driving regular working groups to ensure delivery and provide senior management and project office updates3.
Global Operating Model: To define, agree and deliver the Day 1 through to End State Operating Model/s for key lines of business in partnership with business owners4.
Training: To determine generic and tailored training requirements for impacted lines of business covering core processing teams through to internal Service and downstream impacted areas including Cash, Fee Billing and Fund Services5.
User Experience: To qualify the required operational support model, user profiles and optimal look and feel for the new platforms and architecture6.
Control Framework: To ensure the new TO BE processes have been fully validated with the business owners, clearly articulating workflow rules, risk and controls points, areas of training and documenting new operating procedures fir for both Legal and Compliance purposes
The operational readiness project manager will report to the Operational Readiness Stream lead.
About The Operational Readiness Project Manager role:
The operational readiness project manager will be accountable for working with all core project partners from WSS Technology, WSS Operations, IB Technology, Corporate Treasury, Treasury Service and the WSS Product and Coverage teams.
Principal responsibilities include:
Define critical milestones and manage the associated project plansBe responsible for all reporting updates to the programme PMOAssist in shaping and collating presentations to Senior ManagementQuantify and track the project progress to planEnsure all risks to the Operational Readiness are identified and managedManage risks/issues/assumptions/dependenciesDefine the release tollgate process criteria to assess readinessDefine, collate and track key metrics that highlight progress to dateQuality delivery across all elements of the migration is maintainedTake the lead role in ensuring the defined Operational Process flows are maintained
Qualifications
Requirements:
A good understanding of Global Custody, Cash Clearing and Treasury/Finance functionsStrong project creation and management skills.Excellent MS Project skillsStrong leadership and management skills.Strong change management skills.An ability to articulate the strategic impact of changes being made to the business.Strong risk management/mitigation skills.Must have extensive experience of leading/working with cross-functional, geographically dispersed teamsMust have extensive experience in client migration.Strong meeting facilitation skills.A deep understanding of the business and technology. .Strong skills with Microsoft Office products (Word, Excel, Project, PowerPoint).Excellent communication skills, written and verbal.Bachelor's degree, professional project certification, or equivalent work experience preferred.Strong self starter with expert time and task management skill ability
