Operational Risk Analyst, Treasury Risk (x 2)
Working in the Operational Risk team of my clients Treasury function you will be Part of a
team working across the Group Treasury business to implement and maintain a robust
Operational Risk Management Framework.
You will be expected to engage with the business functions and facilitate the identification, assessment and reporting of Operational Risks and the response to them. You will also contribute to the development and oversight of a well controlled Operating environment.
Responsibilities:
- Facilitate and assist in the ongoing assessment of the business control environment. With consideration of all causes of Operational Risk including resourcing, external environmental events, systems and processes, identify operational risks and track agreed actions to mitigate.
- Completion of Functional, Targeted and Group Policy Framework Risk Assessments, partnering with the business to capture processes and assess controls so as to highlight any risks within the respective functions, processes and compliance with internal policies and controls prescribed by these.
- Capture of assessments and conclusions into standard reporting formats and tools, including the Groups operational risk reporting platform.
- Production of Operational Risk Monthly Management reporting, including following up with the Business on status of mitigating actions to resolution and coordinating the production of the Key Risk Indicators used.
- Working with business areas to educate them on their operational risk responsibilities and partner in the development of controls that support compliance with these.
- Assist in the execution of testing of SOX Controls.
- Engage in wider initiatives within the Group Treasury Risk team so as to support the businesses objectives.
Candidate requirements:
- 2-5 years operational risk, risk and control, or risk consulting experience within banking, financial services or consulting.
- Strong understanding of all elements of an operational risk framework, e.g. RCAs, KRIs, incident analysis, loss reporting, etc.
- Candidates with treasury experience would be highly desirable, but not essential.
- Candidates with additional finance experience / ACA / ACCA qualifications are desirable, but not essential.
- Excellent communication and influence skills.
- Strong written and verbal skills.
