Operational Risk and Control Manager recruitment
Our client, a top tier investment bank, is seeking an Operational risk manager to sit within their asset servicing team.
This role is a very autonomous role with great scope for developing knowledge of different banking products and risk control processes. The position will provide large exposure across Europe offering the incumbent exciting opportunities to travel with the role.
The client is open to applications from candidates with operational risk experience within asset services or ACA qualified accountants, with a good knowledge of tax operations and regulations, who are looking for a move into the Risk space.
Key responsibilities:
The collation and analysis of KPI’s and KRI’s across Tax Ops globally to
identify hot spots and underlying trends.
Analysis of control incidents relating to Tax Ops.
Design and Development MIS requirements in conjunction with the MIS team
Publishing of weekly, monthly, quarterly and annual MIS and accompanying
commentary.
Facilitate risk meetings to review key risk indicators (tax reclaims,
nostros etc) and to set performance targets for key processes.
Investigation with the line to perform root cause analysis.
Preparation of provisioning including liaison with business and BAC.
To be successful YOU will have:
A detailed, front to back knowledge of at least one function within Asset
Services (WHT, Dividends or Corporate Actions).
Proven analytical skills and in this respect audit or accountancy
experience would be a distinct advantage.
Excellent written and verbal communication skills and cultural awareness.
The ability to deal with all levels within the organisation across various locations.
