Operational Risk – Business Continuity Risk Control Specialist recruitment
Business Continuity Management (BCM) is part of Operational Risk Control (ORC) and forms one of the specialist team in ORC. The global BCM team owns and controls the implementation of the Group BCM policy, framework and oversees / controls all risks associated with BCM. The team is predominantly based in Zurich and London with additional coverage in America.
BCM is currently establishing a new organization in ORC. The BC Risk and Governance team has risk oversight and owns the governance aspect of all business continuity and crisis management related risk. We are looking for an experienced BC Risk Controller to support the BC Governance and Risk Team.
Reporting to the Head of BC Governance and Risk your main responsibilities will comprise:
- Effectively execute activities in connection with the Operational Risk Framework (ORF2) for Risk Taxonomy Business Continuity and Crisis Management
- Provide BC risk oversight on risk issues and risk remediation status to various stakeholders
- Building close links with, and on going support to, ORC BD and IT risk teams in relation to BC and Crisis Management risks and issues
- Develop and coordinate BC risk, assurance and conformance monitoring reporting
- Perform ad-hoc BC risk assessments and analysis
- Provide audit / regulatory oversight and issues management
Requirements

You will be expected to demonstrate flexibility of approach, experience in dealing with cross functional peers and the ability to manage relationships with senior management and peers, and deliver to stringent deadlines. To succeed in this role you will need the ability to present complex topics succinctly but accurately to non-technical and senior audiences.

- Proven track record as an Operational Risk Specialist with a solid knowledge of business continuity and IT / Technology
- Excellent problem solving and analysis skills
- Proven capability to perform effectively in a dynamic environment and to tight deadlines
- Proactive, hands-on mentality, quick grasp of new subject matter
- Ability to work in a global environment where other project team members are located in other regions, along with key stakeholders
- Proven experience in Financial Services
