Operational Risk Compliance Manager - Wealth Management ($90,000 - $120,000)
As a result of an internal promotion, a Risk and Compliance Manager level role has arisen. This role will support the retail advice business which provides insurance through third party distribution channels. This business facing role will offer risk advice and work closely with the marketing, due diligence and re-pricing business divisions.
Responsibilities include but are not limited to:
- Utilise strong technical risk skills to assist in the design and delivery of an effective risk framework and compliance programme
- Engage with the business in a pragmatic and professional manner on incidents and changing regulation
- Escalate incidents and offer process improvements to management of risk, controls, self assessments and reporting
- Participate in regulatory reviews and utilise knowledge of LAGIC and FOFA
- Potential secondments into ad-hoc projects
In terms of personality and presentation, we are looking for strong negotiation skills, the ability to lead a team and maturity. The successful candidate will join a high performing team and therefore need to be confident with a sense of initiative and be delivery driven. Our client seeks someone fluent in the language and tools of risk management and compliance.
Backgrounds in assurance, audit or operations will be highly regarded. Flexible working arrangements are also on offer.
