Operational Risk Consultant recruitment

Our client is a well known investment bank. The operational risk team are currently in the process of implementing many of the AMA principles and assisting the business in the management of Operational Risk, through governance, reporting, and the development of key operational risk competencies including loss reporting, risk identification, control assessment, and training.

They require an additional resource to assist in the day to day operational risk process. They will also provide support to the business in embedding operational risk management into the organisation as part of the overall operational risk strategy.

Role;
1. Risk Identification Assessment - to be actively involved with business and support areas across the branch to review and perform risk assessments.
2. Process Mapping - to understand new and changing businesses and documenting process flows that show how the business operates from start to finish.
3. Develop the Risk Control Framework - to assist in the further refinement and improvement of the risk control framework and to implement appropriate control processes.
4. Reporting Dashboard - development and implementation of a risk and control indicator reporting dashboard and assist in the control over data collection and executive reporting to senior management.
5. Operational Risk Loss and Incident reporting
6. Control Issues Management - regular follow up, update, and reporting of audit issues, risk and control assessment issues, and SOX issues.

This position involves regular exposure to senior management in London/Europe and therefore requires a candidate who is confident in working with senior management

Required;
-Experience in developing and implementing operational risk frameworks. - Aware of the regulatory requirements, e.g. Basel II
-Has been directly involved in an operational risk team in an investment bank covering financial markets and corporate banking
