Operational Risk Consultant recruitment
Responsibilities
• Work with top financial services clients to consult and advise on their Operational Risk framework, systems and processes.
• Designing the framework within which risk is managed in the business, and building the infrastructure to support the delivery of risk management in the business Risk regulation.
• Understanding and responding to risk-related regulatory developments Risk quantification, valuation, and modelling.
• Leveraging quantitative tools and techniques to support business decisions Risk technology:
• Design and implementation of tools, methodologies, and processes relating to credit risk, market risk, operational risk, liquidity risk, and insurance risk, as well as capital management
Skills and qualifications required
• Experience in the financial services sector, within capital markets, retails commercial banking, or insurance. Previous consulting experience desirable but not essential.
• Minimum 3 years working within the risk space for either a top consultancy or a leading Investment Management Firm.
• A good understanding of the role of risk management in helping an organisation achieves its business goals.
• Need to have the capacity to take on greater responsibilities as they develop within the firm
• Should be of an inquisitive mindset and interested in constantly updating and developing their professional and technical skills
• Fantastic client facing abilities. Effective communication and presentation skills, good interpersonal skills to support working with colleagues and clients.
• Able to work to deadlines and under high pressure.
• Strong corporate governance awareness
• Degree preferably in a quantitative/economics/business discipline.
• Accountancy/finance qualification desirable.
