Operational Risk – Controls Analyst recruitment
The OPC team lies within the Risk – Investment and Markets (Risk – IM) department and is in charge of the operational risk management and the permanent control.
It is essential that the candidate has an understanding of not only Operational Risk but also Credit and Market Risk.
This is an excellent opportunity for an Operational Risk Analyst to join a team where they will have visibility both internally within Risk- IM and externally with other departments across the business, trading, and logistics functions of the Bank. This role will allow the successful candidate to take an active and influential role in the project.
Responsibilities of the role include:
• Active participation in a project to extend and deepen the Permanent Control framework of Risk – IM
• Undertaking a 6 part exercise with all Risk- IM teams globally to identify current activities, assess risks in those activities, identify existing controls on those activities, identify gaps in those controls or instances where existing controls need to be strengthened, document resulting necessary controls, identify KRIs and build management dashboard to describe internal performance of controls
• Identify and resolve issues, which will adversely affect project milestones and delivery dates
• Develop specific policies, that may be required to support the enhanced framework
• Support Risk- IM’s global relationship with the business lines functions
• Expand knowledge with other members of the Risk- IM Operational Permanent Control team
The successful candidate will have relevant experience in Operational Risk or SOX framework development or production management in a large Investment Bank, ideally in a risk department. Degree qualification or equivalent required. An understanding or background in Market Risk would be advantageous.
