Operational Risk Director
The role will be focused on the drive to embed of a proactive risk and control culture.
This will involve:
· Acting as a Risk Partner on behalf of Group Operational Risk to Businesses to review and challenge output and escalate issues as appropriate
· Providing Businesses with thought leadership, advice, guidance, training and subject matter expertise on Operational Risk policies, methodologies and tools
· Providing expert technical knowledge on the development and implementation of the Operational Risk Framework and the management of Operational Risk
By nature this is a high profile role and there will be constant exposure to:
- Executive and Senior Management (including CRO, Chief Internal Auditor, GPRO’s, ExCo members)
- Prudential Regulation Authority/ other regulatory bodies.
- External auditors and other outside advisors and third party suppliers
The Operational Risk Director will be focused on:
- Partnering the with business Risk leadership, assist in their management and reporting of operational risk
- Support the Managing Director of Operational Risk in providing expert knowledge and thought leadership on Operational Risk methodologies and practices
- Develop Group-wide policy and guidance on Operational Risk and provide leadership and guidance to support their implementation in the Businesses
The successful candidate will be an experienced Financial Services Operational Risk expert with significant Investment Bank/Capital Markets knowledge and excellent communication, negotiation and influencing ability.
