An important part of MacCap's business is investment in, and management of, operating businesses. This investment may be either alongside our clients or stand alone. Currently MacCap has over A$2.0 billion invested in over 20 operating businesses in over 7 countries.
We seek an Operational Risk Executive to assist and ensure that MacCap monitors, manages and proactively anticipates risks we face in our professional services and Principal Investments business areas.
Your commercial approach and ability to build relationships at all levels will allow you to work and interact with a wide range of business partners increasing awareness of operational risks and controls whilst also assisting them with obtaining internal approvals for the implementation of new activities in an appropriately controlled manner.
Your key responsibilities will include;
- Cultivate and maintain effective relationships with all areas of the business to ensure open dialogue and escalation processes exist
- Analyse and evaluate incidents; monitor emerging issues and make recommendations for changes to the Policies or Processes when necessary
- Participate and assist in co-ordination of the Operational Risk Self Assessment process
- Assist in execution of the Operational Risk Framework across the business
- Provide support under guidance to offshore locations on Operational Risk matters
Tertiary qualified your background could include operational risk, assurance, audit or finance within a 'Big 4' firm, consultancy, financial services or investment banking organisation preferred, but not essential. Relevant post graduate qualifications (CA/CPA) regarded favourably.
