Position Requirements:
Fitch Ratings is seeking a highly motivated Analyst for the Residential Operational Risk Group team in its New York City office. This person will work closely with Fitch analytical and credit staff in support of ongoing servicer ratings and monitoring of servicer impact on transactions encompassing a variety of residential mortgage assets.
Candidate must have strong leadership qualities with proven communication ability in oral and written forms, strong organizational skills, and ability to work independently to complete tasks, ability to work with all level of management and analysts, and have a working knowledge of financial services. Some travel may be required.

Responsibilities:
-Develop an understanding of residential servicing functions in order to better support the team's objectives
-Gather data from multiple sources and disseminate or retain in appropriate format
-Analyze and format data to assist in interpreting results
-Assist lead analyst in model input and required data verification, as well as system testing
-Maintain programs and retained files to support objectives, which requires the ability to build a strong understanding of the Group's needs and processes
-Successfully maintain all compliance systems used for data management and reporting purposes
-Assist with drafting of reports, rating commentaries and research reports, including draft language and formatting of charts and graphs

Qualifications:
-0- 2 years relevant experience
-BA/BS degree with a strong academic record
-Strong quantitative, analytical and organizational skills
-Motivated individual, demonstrating attention to detail and ability to multitask effectively
-Strong communication skills, both oral and written
-Strong organizational and time-management skills are a must
-Proficiency in Microsoft Word, Excel, and Access required
-Knowledge of Structured Query Language (SQL) considered a positive
