Operational Risk Manager – Retail Banking and Wealth Management – Global Banking Giant recruitment
The Operational Risk Manager will facilitate the effective implementation of the Group Operational Risk Framework across the retail banking and wealth management businesses in Asia Pacific. The incumbent will support business preparedness for FSA and HKMA operational risk audits and take the lead in identifying, developing and implementing operational risk reviews and ensure minimum standards of internal control commensurate with the scale and nature of operations for retail banking and wealth management across the region. The jobholder will be responsible for assessing compliance against Group policies, regional and local guidelines and risk appetite and will support the Regional Head of Operational Risk on retail banking and wealth management initiatives.
The successful candidate will be a degree holder with at least 6 years experience in operational risk, internal audit, internal control or compliance. Applicants will need to demonstrate a solid understanding of banking activities, products, processes and systems and have practical experience within retail banking and wealth management. Candidates must possess a good grasp of the measurement and analytics with respect to operational risk and have the capacity to effectively cope with pressure and tight deadlines. Excellent communication, interpersonal and relationship management skills are essential.
