Operational Risk Manager – Abu Dhabi recruitment

The Role:
- Build and maintain effective working relationships between Operational Risk and its key stakeholders
- Support and maintain the framework, polices, tools and processes for operational risk management
- Undertake a periodic review of the Risk and Control Assessments
- Escalation of ‘high’ risk issues to the Senior Management
- Maintain the Operations Control Risk Register, which is updated on a daily basis, and maintain the departments’ Risk Matrix.
- Investigate and prepare the response to issues report to/from Internal Audit
- Prepare the monthly reporting of day-to-day and on-going risks issues
- Analyse risks relating to new products
- Analyse risks on all new procedures
Candidates welcome to apply:
- A relevant Bachelor’s degree
- The candidate will have relevant experience in Operational Risk, ideally from an Investment Manager
- The candidate will have strong knowledge of business processes and operational risk management tools. Given the unusually high range of investments executed by the organisation, he or she must have breadth of understanding across most relevant business processes
- The successful applicant will have the ability to take technical and complex issues and explain then in simple and straightforward terms.
- The successful applicant must also be able to communicate with a broad range of people including fund managers and senior management
