£50,000 GBP to £55,000 GBP basic salary + benefits

The Role:
Reporting to the Operational Risk Director, your role will involve working across various Departments including; Compliance and Internal Audit, making recommendations in respect of the Risk Management Framework and Operational Risk Management procedures.
Additional Responsibilities include:
• Understanding operational risk requirements set out by the Board, the FSA and other external bodies
• Assisting with the development and documentation of an appropriate risk management framework
• Assisting with the implementation of best practice throughout the group
• Liaising with the providers of Internal Audit Services to assist in the co-ordination of the internal audit programme for the group
• Producing/Drafting reports for the Board and other committees which consider risk on risk and capital adequacy, including the Individual Capital Adequacy Process “ICAAP”
• Providing support where appropriate to the regulatory reporting team
Requirements:
- Strong communication skills, written and verbal
- Ability to build effective working relationships at all levels around the group
- Ability to lead teams from different backgrounds in achieving a common goal
- Good working knowledge of operational risk issues and risk framework within a financial services firm
- Understanding of regulatory framework and link between risk and capital requirements; knowledge of FSA reporting requirements
- Good working knowledge of Excel (financial modeling skills)
- Accounting skills
