Team Leader, Operational Risk
A financial services firm in Australia is looking for an operational risk manager to perform the following: (the candidate will be expected to have some of the experiences below and will be expected to develop the rest within the role)
Responsibilities:
• Develop the bank's operational risk management policies and framework, particularly AMA;
• Develop and implement operational risk measurement methods including operational VaR;
• Calculate and report the bank's operational risk exposure against set internal parameters;
• Lead the effort of implementing the Basel II requirements for operational risk;
• Establish and maintain group consolidated operational risk, controls and tolerance levels;
• Perform regular review of the bank's exposure to operational risk and recommend actions to the Risk Committee;
• Generate regular consolidated operational risk reports and assist in producing local operational risk reports (for internal as well as for regulatory purposes);
• Enhance operational risk management and Basel II awareness across the bank through providing courses and technical material.
Requirements:
• Over 3 years experience in Operational Risk or Internal Audit
• Fluent in English
• Advanced analytical and PC skills;
• Ability to effectively interact with senior management;
• Good interpersonal, communication, and presentation skills;
