Operational Risk Manager recruitment
We currently have an exciting opportunity open for a high-calibre Operational Risk Manager at our client; a premier investment manager in the City of London.
The key purpose of this role is so support the continued development of the Corporate Risk Framework. This encompasses operational risk, fiduciary risk, business risk, and reputational risk.
The risk management team is responsible for ensuring that the business fulfils and complies with all necessary regulatory and operations risk requirement. The risk management department are responsible for conducting periodic monitoring which includes sample checking of compliance with client and house guidelines. The operational risk manager will have the following duties:
-Day to day ownership and continued development of the firm's incident and loss reporting system, process and MI
-Maintenance of risk and control self-assessment programme and co-ordination of regular meetings with all business owners
-Provide risk input to a range of business projects and development initiatives
-Co-ordination of capital adequacy (ICAAP) assessments
-Proactive consideration of corporate risk impacts arising from emerging global regulatory and legislative initiatives
As such, we are seeking operational risk managers with the following skills:
-Attention to detail and accuracy, and works systematically to meet and maintain standards, and adhere to procedures
-Good analytical skills, capable of thinking logically, using initiative and systematically able to resolve problems
-Ability to provide strong challenge to both existing process and controls across the business and the corporate risk framework itself
-Proactive, self-supportive and motivated in the development of a positive risk culture
-Good computer literacy in basic applications (Word, Excel, Outlook etc.)
-Excellent report writing and presentational skills
-First class interpersonal skills and a proactive approach
