Operational Risk Specialists recruitment
Our client, a leading global bank, seeks a number of senior Operational Risk Specialists to play a key role in the delivery of its ‘three lines of defence’. In addition to extensive operational risk experience, a background in either CIO / IT or change management is required and the successful candidates will report to the Operational Risk Director for each business unit.
These are high-profile roles and you will need gravitas and strong leadership skills in addition to your undoubted analytical skills and technical expertise in order to drive the operational risk agenda, delivering independent reviews, establishing key threats and ensuring effective controls are in place.
As part of a team charged with providing a holistic and independent opinion on the risk effectiveness within your partner business unit, you will contribute to and influence the overall business strategy and objectives, educating the leadership team and facilitating the identification and proactive management of regulatory and governance responsibilities.
Whether your focus is directed upon the risks arising from the organisation’s extensive integration and transformation programmes, or from the control environment across CIO, you will need to demonstrate the ability to engage, support and challenge at Director level; building strong working relationships in a heavily matrixed environment; providing thought leadership in your selected area; and fostering a risk aware culture with adequate training and expertise across your business unit.
First class communication, influencing and stakeholder management skills are required together with personal integrity and an ability to take leadership at all levels, enabling collaborative teamwork, managing conflicting priorities, identifying innovative solutions and delivering quality outcomes.
These roles can be based in various locations throughout the UK including London, Edinburgh, South-West and Northern England.
