Operational Risk (VP), Growing team in Hong Kong!

Are you interested in working directly with the CRO and Global Head of Audit?

Responsibilities:
- Lead a team regionally that focuses on regular Operational risk control reviews
- Monitoring Global Banking losses, reviews, Audit reviews etc
- Work with and contribute to the development of new products
- Liaise globally with Front office teams to ensure regular follow ups are being adhered too.
- Understand the front to back Operational Risk environment the business is exposed to and risks that may be emerging
- Review high quality monthly operational risk and control reports for the Regional and Global Operational Risk Committees.
- Maintain and enhance a risk assessment and monitoring programme included the development of KRIs, scorecards etc.
- Undertake/participate in ad-hoc projects for risk assessment and mitigation
- Attendance at business control, audit and operational risk committees.
Requirements:
- Minimum 7 to 12 years experience
- You will have strong exposure to trading desks and knowledge of multiple product types, ideally capital markets
- Demonstrate an understanding of Risk Management processes and practices
- Project management and problem-solving skills, ability to lead a broad based front to back review of the business and infrastructure required to operate, support, manage and control.
- Internal Audit background considered
- Strong consultancy background desirable, big 4 etc.
- Strong understanding of Legal, Compliance, Finance, Risk and Financial Instruments essential
- Local and global experience desirable
