Operational Risk/Scenario Analysis Manager recruitment
A leading Investment Bank has opened up a new and exciting role as a Senior Operational Risk/Scenario Analysis Manager. You will initiate and deliver stress testing and scenario programmes which assess the resilience of the bank to its critical risks and reinforce oversight activity. You will need solid communication skills, good interpersonal skills and to be an exceptional team player.
Role/Responsibilities
- To initiate and deliver stress testing and scenario programmes which assess the resilience of the bank to its critical risks and reinforce oversight activity.
- Defining the scope of scenarios
- Implementation of the methodologies to assess the severity and exposure of scenarios
- To put in place processes to enable the bank to maintain and refresh a programme of critical scenarios as well as handle topical scenarios promptly.
- To develop a first set of scenarios for assessment to use to pilot the process
- To develop a scenario schedule for all scenarios
- To track progress against plan and manage change control
- To implement appropriate governance activity
- To prepare documentation and information for the key stakeholders and for a
- To develop and conduct analysis of scenario results and report to relevant stakeholders
- To develop and maintain templates, policy and guidance notes
- To ensure required documentary evidence is completed and collated
- To ensure the quality and appropriateness of the scenario analysis and the documentary evidence supplied
Skills
- Good experience of operational risk management frameworks in banks, stress testing, scenario analysis and capital adequacy modeling
- Ability to interact with a variety of stakeholders from Retail, Wholesale, Commercial banking as well as specialist functions such as Finance, Marketing IT etc
- Ability to discuss the impact of scenario events and facilitate workshops across the bank
- Ability to understand the impact of potential future risk events across the bank
- Good knowledge and experience of modelling for capital adequacy, the effects of risk events on the balance sheet etc
- Familiarity with the activities of specialist functions such as Finance, Risk, IT and Marketing etc to source specialist contributions and information
