OPERATIONAL SYSTEMS ADMINISTRATOR recruitment
The role is for an Operational Systems Administrator and the successful applicant will be responsible for all tasks involved to ensure critical systems used for Portfolio Management, Investment Accounting and Trading purposes are updated timeously and accurately.
The role holder should have previous investment operations experience and knowledge of ICON and Bloomberg.
Core Responsibilities:
- Acting as a point of contact for all relevant application users ensuring all enquiries are logged, updated and replied to within agreed service standards and ensure problems outwith area of responsibility are communicated to correct section with the necessary urgency.
- Perform the daily reconciliations between Icon and all other systems that require data feeds from the accounting system e.g. Longview, Thinkfolio, and Sentinel. Ensuring positions and market values reconcile. Identifying differences and resolving them within agreed timescales.
- Create the pre and post trade compliance rules on the Sentinel and Thinkfolio applications ensuring that the coding of the rule meets the requirements of the internal client or regulatory parameter.
- Review and control all daily system updates. This includes the movement of data between the systems in terms of Index constituents, holdings, prices market values.
- Review and control the generation of transactions within the systems including the transaction updates between front and back office Systems i.e. Thinkfolio Trades, Longview trades, Income generation etc.
- Review and control the external data transfers. This data relates to transactions, holding and prices used by the external parties to perform the administration and pricing of the portfolios managed.
- Responsible for application system security set up which includes new user set up, user access rights, password control, ensuring users only receive access to areas relevant to their department.
Core Skills:
- Good interpersonal skills in providing support to non-technical staff.
- PC skills including various spreadsheets are essential.
- Experience of other general system applications would be beneficial, particularly with an accounting aspect.
Core Requirements:
- Previous investment operations experience and knowledge of ICON and Bloomberg.
