Position Title:

Operations Assistant Manager of the Container, Car Carriers and Ro Ro Division

Position Purpose:

Cargo and vessel operations

Scheduling of vessels

Bunkering

Instructing Agents

Speaking with the commercial and marine employees on a day to day basis

Control of port costs

Monitoring vessel performance

Post fixture costs

Pre requisites and Preferred Traits:

-          Must have at least 5 years experience within vessel operations, preferably within the Ro Ro sector

-          Must have an excellent knowledge within the commercial shipping sector and within vessel operations

-          Ideally have strong relationships currently

-          Exposure to North Europe, Red Sea, Mediterranean, West Africa and South Africa operations would be desirable

-          Must have excellent communication skills to liaise with port agents, port captains and ship masters effectively

-          Must be computer literate

-          Will be in charge of managing people and therefore must have excellent managerial, planning and organisational skills

Languages: Must be fluent in the English language

Location: The role will be located in the UK; for this role you must have a work visa for the UK
