Operations Analyst

SUMMARY OF POSITION
Primarily responsible for executing the analysis activities required for overall financial and economic management within the operations department.  This position is the primary resource for developing and analyzing key information which includes operating cost drivers identification of key trends financial planning major investments and the reporting of key metrics in support of global operations.  

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES include the following. Other duties may be assigned.
•  Analyze financial results and key indicators within logistics and manufacturing.
•  Prepare value added monthly narratives on financial results and key metrics that are adequate for all levels of the management team.  Identify and recommend key actions required and any future implications.
•  Design generate and communicate financial tracking information and exception based reporting including but not limited to key performance indicators for manufacturing and logistics.
•  Develop action based report tools that highlight issues costs and opportunities needing further analysis.
•  Conduct “What If” scenarios surrounding key changes in the business conditions that drive costs and inefficiencies. Provide management summaries of what information means and reasons for fluctuations and implications on future performance.
•  Ownership of operations financial reporting related to global metrics and monthly figures related to key initiatives process maps production and logistics KPI’s.
•  Perform pre post analysis regarding key capital expenditures and their return on investment (ROI) ensuring that financial expectations of the investment are reasonable and meet company objectives.
•  Provide analytical advice counsel and training regarding technology and reporting across the platform of systems that support operations.
•  Ad-hoc analysis and special projects as assigned by Vice President Operations
•  Coordinate and monitor the planning process and ensure that expense budgets and cost savings opportunities are achievable.
•  Develop organize and maintain all historical information related to operations performance indicators.
•  Develop financial and performance information for conducting monthly review meeting.
•  Participate in the monthly performance meetings including but not limited to inventory logistics manufacturing and global performance.
•  Prepare track and validate all metrics linked to ShurShare Bonus program and prepare the final reports for review with Finance Operations and Human Resources.

•  B.A. Degree in Business or Accounting - preferred
•  4+ years’ experience in accounting financial analysis
•  Results oriented with strong analytics and reasoning skills
•  Strong PC skills using - Oracle or other database tools i.e. Access or Excel database software
•  Strong communication management skills.
