Based in the Chester office, you will be an integral part of our Operations team. You will focus on flawless delivery of day to day operations supporting an interbank, intercompany, institutional and corporate client base. You will have a hands-on role, supporting multiple traded products.

Successful applicants will be tasked with accountability for one of the following processes:

•Trade affirmation and settlement execution

•Investigation and timely resolution of breaks

•Management of MIS and keeping of key performance indicators within agreed limits

•Input and verification of trade data

•Management of relationships with business partners, external clients and various trading desks

•Investigation and resolution of queries

•Reconciling and resolving cash and trade exceptions

•Escalation of potential risk and exposure on a timely basis

Experience

•Excellent organisational skills are required, along with the ability to prioritise daily workload whilst working accurately and efficiently under pressure

•Ability to deal with high volumes of work in a pressurized environment

•Excellent client communication skills

•Experience of working in a blue-chip, corporate environment

Requirements

•Numerate, articulate and confident with a polished communication style (both written and verbal) as the role requires extensive communication with business and operational partners, and external clients.

•Ability to work on own initiative

•A strong sense of ‘team’ is essential

•Flexibility in working hours may be required

We will consider applications from all backgrounds, especially from graduates with numerical or analytical qualifications and those applicants with some financial services experience. You will have an understanding of as well as an interest in the financial services industry, a logical approach to problem solving, proven data analysis skills and good Excel skills (macros, formulas).
