Operations and Settlements – Vice President recruitment
The candidate should have a concrete and integrated understanding of overall global settlements and safekeeping systems and procedures and is expected to define, optimize and streamline the procedures involved .
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
- Overall responsibility for managing processes in global, settlements, safekeeping and reconciliation ( Securities, derivatives and cash)
- Defining, optimizing and streamlining procedures involved, planning and executing the roadmap for straight through processing ( STP)
- Ensuring prompt settlement and cash transfers, putting in place adequate control processes.
- Management and reconciliation of the securities nostro and suspense accounts and tracking the client and company accounts balance to prevent any shortfall of funds
- Execution of client services ( account opening, statement and confirmations, reporting safekeeping charges to clients)
- Reduction of settlement costs through introducing new systems or counterparties, providing ongoing cost-revenue analysis to management from settlement aspect.
- Handling the client regulatory reporting and FSA transaction reporting
- Developing a filing system for the company, client and counterparty documents, ensuring that data maintained on behalf of clients and counterparties is up to date and adequate records are maintained.
- Participate in the long-term development of operational practices, tools and settlement systems within the Group on an ongoing basis.
- Ensuring that internal rules and procedures are adhered to and in strict compliance with the regulatory rules on an ongoing basis in coordination with the Compliance Department
Skills, Experience and Qualification
- University Graduate degree in a related field
- Minimum 4-5 years industry and settlements experience , preferably in a similar environment
- Concrete understanding of securities, derivatives ( OTC and exchange traded) from settlement aspect and working knowledge of corporate actions
- Experience of Clearstream settlement and systems involved , working knowledge of SWIFT
- Analytical thinker and quick learner with an ability to communicate at all levels
- Computer literate with Microsoft Office and advanced level of Excel is required
- Securities Institute – IAQ Qualification and / or an accounting qualification
- Goal driven with a desire to succeed ,high level of dedication
- Knowledge of Misys Opics Plus or similar system
- Fluent Turkish would be a plus
