Operations Assistant / Product Specialist recruitment

The Team
Octopus Investments is based in central London and currently has over 200 staff, including 40 Investment professionals and a dedicated operations and customer service team of 20. We are looking for someone to join our Operations team to work on a temporary (4-5 months) or permanent basis and help with general operational and customer service duties in the team.
The Role
Product Management
- Dealing with ad hoc requests from clients and IFAs with particular emphasis on TCF
- Processing new business applications
- Assist in daily cash and monthly stock reconciliation for assigned products
- Adherence to the process in relation to the assigned product
- Suggest improvements to existing systems and processes
- Communicate product information to the wider business including updating the intranet
- Processing applications, allotments, arranging cash withdrawals and drawdowns, liquidations
Supporting the business
- Managing internal and external relationships by providing specialist information to relevant parties.
- Liaise with relationship managers and other teams to build an understanding of the investment process
Quality assurance and regulatory oversight
- Quality checking and signing off colleagues’ work
- Setting up clients in line with KYC AML regulations
- Processing registration withdrawal instructions
- Logging errors and breaches in line with FSA guidelines
- Escalate issues via appropriate channels where necessary
