Operations Associate – Managed Funds (4 month contract) recruitment

Macquarie Funds Group (MFG) is Macquarie Group's funds management business. MFG is a full-service asset manager, offering a diverse range of capabilities and products including infrastructure and real asset management, securities investment management and structured access to funds, equity-based products and alternative assets. Due to an internal promotion an opportunity exists for an operations associate to join the managed funds team on a 4 month contract. Joining a team of 5, you will be providing fund administration support to the business and working closely with the front office. Working Holiday Visas will be considered.

Key Accountabilities

Responsible for daily Managed funds processes:

· Daily processing of Application and Redemptions on Managed Funds.

· Updating of Managed Fund prices distributions.

· Liaising with External Fund Administrators.

· Communication of completed tasks to asset and investment managers.

· Reconciliation of cash and asset positions on Managed funds.

· Identification of general improvements and assisting in their implementation.

Key Skills

· Good communication skills (written and spoken);

· Strong analytical skills and attention to detail to ensure zero rate of error;

· Prior experience reconciling financial data;

· Strong organisational skills;

· Self motivated and able to work effectively in fast paced environment

Qualifications

· Undergraduate degree in Business, Finance or related discipline will be highly regarded.

· Previous experience in Funds Management/Asset Aadministration preferred
