Position Description:
The incumbent is responsible to provide operational support to the business unit in Morgan Stanley China Bank Beijing Branch. The function includes commercial bank loan services, guarantee business, daily reconciliation, and various regulatory reporting. In addition, basic knowledge of account opening/documentation/maintenance and funds transfer, experience in framework of Chinese banking industrial regulations will be required. It will cover a wide range of traditional commercial banking products.
Key areas of responsibilities:
• General client service, Demonstrates an understanding of client's (internal external) requirements, responds to client requests with accuracy and speed
• Liaise and resolve queries on transaction related issues, give a quick feedback when necessary. Takes personal responsibility for resolving client issues, is able to clearly escalate cause and resolution
• Loan transaction processing, ensure the processing is in compliance with the firm policy and local regulations
• Daily control process such as internal system/inter-desk/nosto reconciliation. Demonstrates accountability for actions and errors
• Daily/Monthly/Quarterly regulatory reporting and timely response to ad hoc inquires from various regulators.
• Help the Loan Ops team leader to proactively revise, re-design and enhance control points along the whole operational procedures
• People management involvement to ensure a strong performance team build up, including review of current practices of managing staff at work, staff assignment review, follow-up senior management tasks, etc.
Skills Required:
• Over 8 -10 years banking experience with a minimum of 5 years Loan Ops processing experience and/or experience of handling account opening, funds transfer, sound knowledge and a few years managerial experience in the related field
• High sense of risk awareness and good understanding of the local regulations,
• High personal commitment and integrity
• Good communication and organizational skill, able to interact and work effectively across functional/locations in multiple tasks
• Ability to work under pressure
• Good written, verbal and interpersonal sills
