Department
The International Operations Control (IOC) team performs an oversight role for the International Operations Department. The primary objective is to minimise process risk by performing the following functions:
- Production and oversight of the controls for the Operations Department
- Production of Management Information and Risk Reporting
- Analysis of the Control Environment – the Operations Control team review existing processes and procedures to identify control weaknesses and process improvements.
IOC performs these functions for multiple entities of the Jefferies Group and covers all products traded by the group on the international markets across the full product life cycle.
The opening on the team is specifically for the Jefferies Bache entity.
Key Responsibilities
Key Tasks of the Role
Control Production and Oversight
Production of key controls for the Bache Entity
Reporting and oversight of the controls produced, working with all relevant departments to resolve identified issues in a timely manner.
Analysis of existing processes and procedures to identify control and efficiency weaknesses, suggest improvements and see them through to implementation.
Management Information
Development of Management Information reporting for JBL controls
Process enhancement
Support the automation of the Bache Control Environment into the Global Reconciliation Platform (Frontier)through the design, testing and implementation phases
Support the implementation of GMI
Person Specification
Skills required include:
• Previous experience working in an Operations Control role, ideally from within a similar environment
• Used to working to tight deadlines
• Proven analytical skills
• Excellent attention to detail
• Excellent communication skills
