Operations Control recruitment

My client, a leading Global Bank, based in Hong Kong, requires a 'Transaction Processing Controls Manager (Asia Pacific role)', to join the Global Markets Operations team.
This is an excellent opportunity for someone with previous Audit or Internal Control experience; exposure to management of Operational Risk would be ideal.

This person will be required to support:
* Global Markets Operations, Business Information Risk Officer (BIRO),
* APAC coordinator for Global Resourcing Risk Reviews
* SOX and SOX IT Application Controls coordinator
* Control reviews (within HK and APAC)
* The understanding and communication of changes in internal policy
* Answering of site queries
* Organising and running of meetings
* Operational loss identification and management
* MI
* Business analyst/project management

QUALIFICATIONS

* A post-graduate diploma or degree in any discipline.
* Previous experience of Audit or Internal Control functions is a necessity
* Experience within Financial markets industry would be a distinct advantage
* Evidence of active participation in establishing and managing effective Operational Risk.
* Strong people management experience
* Advanced negotiation skills and the ability to achieve results through diplomacy
* Excellent PC skills such as Microsoft Access Excel
* Strong organisational and planning skills
* Ability to build and maintain relations with the business areas supported and continuously give feedback through [INVALID-WORD]nt follow up on Performance Level Agreements
* A sound understanding of the different Global Markets products e.g FX, Money Markets, Derivatives and Securities
* Fluent in spoken and written English
* Understanding of IT infrastructure would be beneficial however not essential
