Operations Finance Leader

Based in Glasgow, our client and internationally renowned FMCG business, has a highly sought after job opportunity for a senior finance professional to join as Operations Finance Leader within their packaging and supply business.
The purpose of the role is to provide financial management and decision support within the Global Packaging and Supply Chain business, to help deliver the financial and strategic objectives of the business.
Key areas of responsibility will include:

· Providing key financial and management reporting on consolidated global operations
· Provide financial management and decision support within the Global Packaging and Supply Chain business, to help deliver the financial and strategic objectives of the business.
· Providing financial and management reporting on consolidated global operations
· Providing appropriate business analysis to identify opportunities, risks and trends, along with ad-hoc analysis to ensure that all operational decisions are supported by comprehensive financial analysis.
· Utilising this analysis to influence the operational business to deliver against its strategic objectives.
· Partnering the operations team to ensure the efficiency and effectiveness of all operational spend
· Supporting the Group Operations Finance Director in project work including improvement in operational reporting, business analysis, system changes and integration of new brands or businesses
· Delivering timely and accurate financial planning, monthly and year end reporting in line with Group requirements and provide support for external audit purposes as required : this will encompass the packaging and supply chain business, as well as overall global operations consolidation.
· Implementing controls to manage and report on working capital expenditure to drive improved cash flow
· Ensuring robust financial controls in place across supply chain, covering all aspects of the business
· Promoting, developing and embedding a “one team” approach to Finance in support of the delivery of a Global Finance function : ensuring standardised reporting and processes across packaging and supply chain sites
· Leading, motivating and developing the Finance team in line with Company Values to maximise employee engagement and performance.

The ideal candidate will have significant experience of operating at a senior level, within a similar role, ideally within an international manufacturing or FMCG business and be looking to broaden their experience further.

To be successful in this role you must possess excellent leadership and managerial skills (ideally with experience of managing remote teams). Furthermore you will possess superior commercial acumen and communication skills and the possess the ability to build robust relationship at all levels up to executive board level.
