Position Description:
The EDP team is based in London, New York and Hong Kong. The EDP team is a part of the Derivatives Project Group. The goal of the EDP team is to deliver an industry leading Equity Derivative processing platform. A key part of this strategy is the Equity Derivatives Expansion (EDE) program which is driven by the Equity Business Unit to significantly grow the revenues for the Equity Derivative business line. This is a fully front-to-back program to strategically develop a future state architecture that will revolutionalise the processing of Equity Derivatives within the firm. We currently have an opening for Associate / Director within the EDP team based in Hong Kong.

The main focus area for the program in 2011 is to roll out the strategic trade capture platform for OTC Equity Derivatives trading across vanilla, securitized and exotics products. The book of work comprises deployment of the new trade capture system across all global trading and sales desks; expansion of product scope to cover all vanilla products; enhancement of functionality to support full front-to-back trade lifecycle event processing and integration with electronic platforms.

Additionally, the EDP team supports a number of smaller projects to support enhancements to current Equity Derivative trade capture systems and processes as well as business initiatives driven by internal prioritization and by responses to changes in the external marketplace.

Skills Required:
• 2 to 5 years' relevant investment banking operations experience with proven track record in project management and business analysis
• Product knowledge - good knowledge of derivatives, preferably equity derivatives
• Project Management - formal change management experience with exposure to the full project lifecycle
• Communication - the ability to communicate to a variety of audiences from Analysts to Managing Directors and tailoring messages as appropriate
• Good quantitative analytical skills and the ability to multi-task across regional and global projects
• Hands-on operational, trading or financial controller experience of these products is a plus
• In-depth knowledge of the full front-to-back trade lifecycle including trade capture, enrichment, confirmation, settlement, valuation, regulatory reporting, risk management
• Exceptional communication and interaction skills managing deliverables and relationships with senior stakeholders within operations, IT, trading and sales
