Position Description:
GBO Risk Director/Associate is a role based in Hong Kong to provide oversight function on the Bank entities in Asia. The role will interact significantly with the Senior Management team and the bank branches in Asia, counterparts in NY and London to drive regional and global banking agenda and initiatives. It is a high profile opportunity to continue the development of the risk and control profile for the Banks.

Core Responsibilities:
Asia Banks Business/Risk Management
• Oversight and implementation of Bank regulatory initiatives as they apply to Operations. This includes, but is not limited to, facilitation of Service Level Agreements (SLAs), RCSAs, regulatory reporting, local regulatory requirement or Reg W tracking and other training and implementation of various Banking regulations into day to day functions of the various Operations teams.
• Establishing and enhancing appropriate KRI's and KPI's for product lines affecting the Bank entities. Understanding and oversight of RITAs, RADARs, EUCs; etc. as it pertains to these product lines.
• Performing Risk reviews where we have elevated risk profiles
• Coordinating and tracking risk issues for including but not limited to attending risk meetings
• Driving the timely delivery and execution of firm risk initiatives such as new Risk policies and tools such as Depth Charts, BCP, Segregations of Duties, etc
• Improving the overall control environment by enforcing proactive controls
• Identifying root-causes behind major incidents and driving remediation of Risk issues
• Establishing working relationships with all relevant Operations, IT, Finance and other areas
• Acting as representative at different bank committee meetings for banking oversight functions
• Working on business/risk related projects identified by management. The assignments will vary in nature, scope, and complexity. Generally speaking, the role will be responsible for supporting high priority initiatives as identified by management on risk area.

• Regulatory Impact Monitor

Management Reporting
Responsible for producing performance metrics, responding to various requests from the senior management team, Firm or Business Unit
Network Build relationships with global GBO teams and the relevant banking entity management groups.

Project Management
Involvement in various projects and will need to be able to organise objectives into deliverables, define tasks and coordinate amongst multiple groups across regions.

Communication
Manage any communications between the global GBO teams and local bank branches and also with Asia branch ops management

Skills Required:
• Ideally with 3-6 years of relevant experience in operational risk management with good knowledge of Operations and banking regulations
• Superior written and verbal communication skills
• Ability to manage dynamic priorities
• Strong working knowledge of technology processes, risks and controls.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving capabilities; ability to devise solutions for complex business problems.
• Strong organizational skills, with significant attention to detail.
• Relationship management and influencing skills.
• Solid MS Office skills, including strong Excel skills with experience sorting, filtering, formatting, and developing charts and graphs.
• Ability to work under tight deadlines
