Position Description:
Regulatory reporting is one of the responsibilities of the Operations Risk and Control department. The team is responsible for the design and implementation of a framework to monitor Operations and other departments' regulatory reporting obligations and ensuring that regulatory reports are submitted accurately and timely.
An exciting and challenging opportunity has come up for the right individual to lead global and Asia programs in relation to enhancement of the regulatory reporting control framework which includes globalization of the regulatory reporting policies, processes/procedures, best practice and system used. The individual will work closely with Operations subject matter experts, Compliance, IT and the global regulatory reporting team to ensure successful delivery of all projects on time and within budget.
Key responsibilities:
-Oversee day-to-day regulatory reporting control and support functions performed by staff in Shanghai
-Provide daily supervision to ensure Ops teams adhere to the regulatory reporting policy and escalate any exceptions to senior management on a timely basis
-Partner with the global regulatory reporting teams to ensure consistency in administering the regulatory reporting initiatives
-Work with technology team and other stakeholders in proposing, prioritizing and implementing the system, Regulatory Report Monitor (RRM), enhancements
-Assist in preparation and running of the Risk Workshop on selected regulatory reports
-Manage the change management process for Ops to ensure that appropriate framework exist to monitor, evaluate and implement any changes concerning new or changes to existing regulatory reports
-Supervise certification process to ensure the regulatory reports are produced, reviewed, filed and maintained in an accurate and timely manner
-Conduct focused RCSA's for critical/high risk regulatory reports; agree and implement mitigating actions
-Produce monthly management reports and provide regular project status updates to senior management
Skills Required:
-Bachelor degree
-5 to 10 of working experience preferably in Investment banking
-High level of integrity and able to work under pressure
-Attention to details and good analytical skills
-Good command of English
-Ability to learn and understand the booking model for wide range of existing and new derivative products
-Experience in regulatory reporting, stock loan, equity trade support and structured products support a plus
