Operations IT Business Analyst/Senior AVP Level recruitment
A leading financial institute is keen to speak to an Operations IT Business Analyst for a 2 years direct contract for their regional team based inSingapore.
Overview of role
- Business Analyst interacting with all levels of the business to analyze, understand and document Portfolio Services Operations requirements across all asset classes and support all stages of the change or project lifecycle.
- Analyze and document operational requirements, processes and all related documents and test plans
- Ability to translate user requirements into viable operational and technical solutions and interpret technical issues to non technical persons
- Develop a close working relationship with Portfolio Services business stakeholders in order to determine functionality gaps and enhancement requirements
- Perform in an environment where multi-tasking, constant problem resolution and lateral thinking is the standard
Specific Duties
- Provide business analysis support to ensure effective delivery (as measured by time, cost and quality) of agreed change/projects, covering activities such as:
- Impact assessment of changes
- Analysis and documentation of requirements
- Identification and analysis of solutions
- Design of the implementation of process and organizational changes
- Cost/benefit analysis of solutions and approaches
- Business solution recommendations
- Contribute to the global BA community and the development and deployment of analysis best practice, tools and methods.
- Develop effective relationships with regional stakeholders including portfolio managers and dealers
- Work together with other global business analysts on larger scale projects.
Essential Skills
- At least 5 years of working experience as a Business Analyst in the financial industry in the Investment or Operations space
- Solid understand of the Operations and trade lifecycle and front to back system flows
- Understanding of financial markets and the instruments used within e.g. equities, fixed income, multi-asset solutions, derivatives (OTC and ETD) and FX
- Understanding of Operations business processes: transaction management, data management, reconciliation and client reporting including performance reporting
- Knowledge of the following systems a plus: Simcorp Dimension, Charles River Order Management system, Trade support systems, Reconciliation systems, Market data systems and client reporting platforms
- Has the ability to communicate very detailed and complex concepts and ideas both verbally and in writing in a concise and clear manner to others within the organization.
