Management Responsibilities:

Management responsibilities include developing and implementing policies and procedures, formulating manufacturing operations strategies, building and mentoring manufacturing and logistics team members and driving metrics to improve. This includes ensuring the highest quality equipment, materials and production standards, overseeing and maintaining manufacturing budgets and working with engineers, IT and purchasing staff to manufacture quality products that will meet customers' expectations in the most cost-effective manner.  Warehousing/Logistics along with Manufacturing would be part of the responsibilities of this position in support of the organizational goals and customers’ requirements in these area.

 

Technical Responsibilities:

Using process, quality and production improvement methodologies, this position directs the development, planning, implementation and maintenance of manufacturing methods for new or existing products and technologies. This includes outgoing quality, safety and efficiency improvements for all Manufactured Operations and compliance with safety, state and federal regulations.  QC/QA and Small Scale/Process Development lab would be part of the responsibilities and tools utilized to accomplish the goals of the organization and customers requirements in this regard.

 

Additional Responsibilities:

 

This position serves as a key member of the Management Team and is responsible for overall operating excellence reporting directly to the President

 

Additional responsibilities will include but are not limited to:

 

•Drive the company’s strategic direction in regards manufacturing to meet and exceed customer requirements, needs and expectations necessary to help grow the business

•Ensure changing customers’ needs and requirements are identified and necessary investments needed to support are planned for and project managed in conjunction with IT and Engineering Team

•Direct all manufacturing budgets, production costs, and productivity

  •Responsible to drive safety policies and programs, chair and direct State Certified Safety Committee, ensure compliance with all necessary governmental permits, regulations, training requirements, etc. as well as manage process safety management programs

•Drive product and process improvements in a Continuous Improvement environment

•Ability to inspire and lead employees and get results through others in a positive and progressive manner

 

 

Background and Experience:

•Bachelor of Science in an engineering or preferably chemical discipline, MBA is preferred but not required

•Minimum of 10 years of increasingly responsible management experience in a manufacturing environment

•Must have Chemical Manufacturing experience

•Supply Chain / Logistics Management experience is a strong plus

•Lean Manufacturing experience and Six Sigma certification is a plus along with experience and familiarity with HAACP / Food Safety, DOT regulations, and an ISO quality system.
