Job Summary Responsibilities 

Operations is a multi-faceted division that partners with all areas of the firm to deliver banking, sales and trading and asset management capabilities to clients around the world. Alongside this vital service delivery role, Operations provides essential risk management and control, preserving and enhancing the firm’s assets and its reputation.

Operations span all product lines and markets, serving as internal business partners who develop the processes and controls, and help to specify the systems that deliver accuracy, timeliness and integrity to our business. 

Liquidity Collateral Operations (LCO) manages the operational elements for daily funding and liquidity of the firm, oversees the firm's payment strategy and overall cash flows and positions, and also performs key functions related to counterparty risk management, client transparency, and product and pricing data. LCO Operations comprises of three Departments: Funding Operations, Treasury Operations and Margin, Valuations and Pricing (MVP).

The Funding Operations team is responsible for funding European Currencies and Fixed Income and Equity Collateral for all European and Asian markets. The group covers securities and cash funding functions and works principally with the Short Term Interest Rate desk, Global Liquidity Products desk, Corp Treasury and the Foreign Exchange desk.

Key functions our teams perform: Projected Currency management; GCE management; Intercompany Funding; Triparty Funding; Repo Client protection; Exception management; and Credit Line management.

 

Responsibilities:

• Close partnership with the London based Funding Operation team
• Risk management of funding flows and products
• Managing the firm’s excess liquidity pool and cash funding requirements
• Optimising use of firm inventory
• Margining and collateralisation of funding trades
• Control and reconciliation for the Repo product
• Liaising with teams across Operations, Finance, Trading and Technology 

Basic Qualifications 

• Minimum 2 years experience in an Operations role within a Bank
• Demonstrate a strong awareness of risk management
• Ability to analyse, evaluate and form independent judgments
• Ability to build relationships with people from other teams and levels of seniority
• Self starter with good commercial perspective
• Strong analytical, organizational and interpersonal skills
• Ability to work on multiple tasks
• Strong team player
• Strong verbal and written communication skills 

Preferred Qualifications 

• Experience within Liquidity or Collateral Operations preferred but not essential
