Perform at a professional journeyman level in a highly critical environment, requiring the utmost level of concentration and exacting well planed actions. Will perform a variety of complex services in a highly specialized building systems facility. Will perform daily in a well planned and executed fashion sharing in the sense of urgency surrounding mission critical operations and facilities
1. Advance knowledge of and the ability to perform a variety of service work in all phases of specialized building electrical distribution systems.
2. Advanced knowledge of electric/electronic temperature control systems.
3. Complete familiarity with sophisticated equipment monitoring, alarm, building management and automation systems
4. Plans, selects, and lays out required materials for service and repair work.
5. Works from drawings, schematics, blueprints, job layouts or verbal instructions to perform assigned tasks per written O M procedures.
6. Competent in all aspects of life safety and fire alarm systems.
7. Advanced knowledge of the repair and maintenance of HVAC equipment including air handlers, chillers, package units, and all temperature and humidity related controls.
8. Proficient at trouble shooting and diagnosing equipment failures and operating problems.
9. Performs logging operations using advanced instrumentation techniques.
10. Must comply with work order system to include interpreting work orders, performing work requested and completing work orders with little or no direction.
11. Performs all work in accordance with established company safety procedures along with national, state and/or local safety standards.
12. Complies with all company critical site policies and procedures and adheres to company standards.
13. Will work with minimal direct supervision.
14. May perform as the "primary" person on his/her assigned shift.
15. Provides direction and training to less experienced OM Specialists.
16. Requisitions new supplies and equipment.
17. Will provide project updates and/or equipment status reports on a daily basis.
18. Willingness to "cross train with other building trades.
19. Perform other duties as required.
REQUIREMENTS:
1. High school diploma or equivalent.
2. Must possess a valid driver's license.
3. Minimum of five years experience in a critical site environment as a Mission Critical Specialist.
4. Requires in-depth knowledge of various maintenance fundamentals sufficient to deal with service and repairs.
5. Must be physically able to perform basic maintenance tasks to the highest caliber, which includes ability to: wear a Self-Contained Breathing Apparatus (SCBA respirator), climb ladders, work in confined spaces, lift heavy objects weighing up to 50 lbs., etc.
6. Must be able to work varying shifts, weekends and holidays as needed.
7. May be required to use a variety of hand and power tools.
8. Must be a team player committed to working in a quality environment.
9. Requires in-depth knowledge of various maintenance fundamentals sufficient to deal with service and repairs.
10. Advanced knowledge of safety procedures and equipment, procedures and established techniques.
11. Written and verbal communication skills.
