Operations Manager

This is a varied and hands on position that requires a broad knowledge of Accounting, Finance, HR, Legal and day-to-day office management.

Our client is a newly developed IT Applications firm, based in SE London. Creative and forward thinking they are currently looking for an experienced Operations Manager to manage day to day administration/staffing and take financial control while the company continues to grow.

Financial Responsibility

Monthly financial reconciliation and closing; preparation of month end management accounts, to include budgeting, forecasting and cash flow management; quarterly re-forecasting, detailed cash-flow analysis and banking; authorisation of all payments including payroll; VAT returns; the recommendation of new procedures and financial strategies; liaison with External Auditors and suppliers.

HR Responsibility

Recruitment, graduate recruitment, performance management, employee relations, learning and development and reward

General Operational Responsibility

Ensuring compliance with all relevant statutory and regularatory requirements; assisting and governing all commercial and legal matters; carrying out due diligence as required. Assisting with other general legal matters, including intellectual property, data protection and employment

This role will have operational as well as strategic responsibilites and requires someone happy working at both levels. The ideal candidate will be an experienced Finance Manager/Financial Controller from a small to medium size business with strong finance and communication skills seeking a local role in a growing company.

Qualifications in Accounting or HR would be an advantage but experience of the highest level would be considered.
