Position Summary

What you need for the
• Experience in 3PL or large distribution center.
• Experience in the apparel or footwear industry is preferred
• Experience in a multi-faceted distribution center environment and are responsible for direct supervision of multiple employees.
• Experience overseeing departments such as Customer Service, Allocation, Office Administration, Traffic and Routing,
• Experience ensuring that all customer requirements are met.
• Experience with employee engagement, meeting customer needs and satisfying company objectives.
• Decision making in evaluating performance, and recommending hiring and termination actions.
• Ensure that daily KPI’s and targets are met or surpassed.
• They exercise independent discretion and judgment in the execution of business strategies by providing leadership direction to the team.
• Experience in training, coaching, developing and disciplining associates on efficient work methods to increase departmental productivity. Monitor all results for the department and determine changes that are needed in procedures or conditions that could affect operating costs.
• Collaborate to plan, make decisions and organize day-to-day operations.

What you will be doing

• Spend majority of the time with associates, building relationships, coaching, teaching, developing and providing performance feedback.
• Provides direct supervision and discipline to a team of skilled employees including CSR’s, Allocation, Traffic, Routing and Office Clerical Associates.
• Interviews prospective employees
• Administers policies and guidelines that directly affect work activities.
• Responsible for creating and supporting a positive work environment by observing and coaching employees on proper job-related behaviors and providing timely feedback on necessary action plans.
• Sets and communicates clear expectations for team members regarding expected productivity results.
• Makes recommendations to and supports the Operations Manager in preparing annual performance evaluations for operations support associates and providing performance related information to employees.
• Ensures that KPI’s and accuracy standards meet DC and customer objectives.
• Impacts business through responsibility for the end results of the team and department.
• In partnership with others, plans and uses independent discretion to organize day-to-day operations support activities, labor schedules and objectives.
• Supervises and control the release of orders to the warehouse to ensure timely delivery to customers and meeting company efficiency goals
• Improves efficiency, quality and service of ongoing work by identifying process improvements and using best judgment to determine next steps for influencing change and partnering with leadership to resolve.
• Responsible for assigning work, meeting completion deadlines, interpreting and ensuring consistent application of organization policies.
• Develops procedures to ensure the efficient operation and utilization of office equipment and supplies.
• Resolves problems requiring a broad-based analysis to determine solutions.
• Presents problem analysis of operational issues, such as “sudden productivity dips” and recommends solutions in a creative and logical manner.
• Motivates others and promotes collaboration and accountability to meet team goals.
• Builds trust with direct indirect business partners by explaining rationale behind business processes approaches taken in making decisions.
• Builds strong relationships with brand retail customers and carriers to ensure meeting customer requirements, delivering the highest levels of customer service with on-time deliveries.
• Discusses and presents information and issues with business partners located in various departments (such as finance and human resources)
• Participates in a team setting to provide solutions to business partners customers.
• Provides safety instruction to all associates as needed and reports all work-related injuries immediately.
• Provides immediate medical attention to injured employees and completes required accident and incident report forms.
• Assists in ensuring the security of the facility, its environment, employees and contents.
