Operations Manager – Fund Administration recruitment
I am currently working with a leading financial services entity in the Middle East who are looking for an Operations Manager in their Fund Administration team.
The role is based in Bahrain: a thriving environment offering tax-free salaries; reduced housing and cost of living; a great work-life balance and perhaps most importantly – great weather.
You will be using your excellent technical fund administration knowledge to manage the day-to-day operations of my client’s Bahrain office. You will be highly motivated to provide excellent service levels each day to help further my client’s presence in the region.
The main responsibilities for this role include:
- Reporting directly to the managing director on the day to day control environment within the company;
- Ensuring the business unit operates effectively within company standards and procedures;
- Ensuring all deliverables are met on a timely and accurate basis;
- Maintaining a controlled operating environment in conjunction with SAS 70 controls laid down for the company;
- Involvement in all aspects of the company such as supervisory functions, training and recruitment of staff and monitoring of client service standards;
- Ad hoc projects;
- Reviewing Net Asset Value calculations;
- New business implementation;
- Supervision of the accounting and budgeting for the company.
In order to be considered for this role you must possess the following:
- A professional accountancy qualification;
- Extensive experience in the Fund Administration industry;
- Some experience of managing a mid to large sized team;
- Experience in the all-around process of fund administration including: Calculation of NAV, Pricing, Processing of Corporate Actions, Calculation of performance fees, Shareholder Services, AML and KYC verification.
- Ability to work well individually and also as part of a team;
- Desire to embrace the Bahraini lifestyle.
