We are seeking an operations manager to oversee the daily operations of the research laboratories and the physical facilities of the Department of Microbiology at Boston University School of Medicine including but not limited to coordinating and implementing preventive maintenance on equipment and overseeing the film developer service center. We are a fast paced and ever growing research and academic department and need an individual with excellent communication skills and the ability to multitask and function under time sensitive situations. The successful candidate will be the go-to person for troubleshooting and problem solving. This is a new position and the successful candidate will have the opportunity to develop his/her own systems and procedures. Will also serve as the Departmental Safety Officer and provide backup for ordering, approving and monitoring expenditures.
