We currently have a need for an Operations Manager to work in our Broken Arrow, OK materials testing laboratory.

 

We are seeking an individual with strong leadership skills and supervisory experience.  An individual who is self-motivated, driven and energetic. We need a critical thinker who is also a great communicator. We are specifically seeking applicants who have experience in a materials laboratory; however, experience in a manufacturing or industrial setting will also be considered.

 

Applicants must have a Bachelor of Science in Mechanical Engineering, Materials Science or a closely related field. An equivalent combination of experience and education will be considered.

 

Essential duties and responsibilities:

 

·     Achieve increased operating efficiencies and economies that exceed net income goals and enhance customer satisfaction.

 

·     Promote, initiate and coordinate continuous improvements in lab processes and procedures, including the assessment of new and/or different testing opportunities.

 

·     Supervise the implementation, review and change of test procedures to ensure that information generated is scientifically sound, legally defensible and of known precision and accuracy.

 

·     Ensure review of incoming work for accuracy of information, test requirements, and pricing.

 

·     Supervise materials laboratory department managers and supervisors.

 

·     Ensure compliance with human resource policies including performance management, staffing, and employee counseling. Provide oversight for interviewing, hiring, and training of staff.

 

·     Ensure the operation of a safe and secure work environment free of hazards.
