We are currently seeking an experienced Operations Manager at our Chillicothe, Ohio facility to assist us in furthering our growth through improvement and innovation.
As the Operations Manager, the incumbent will:
- Oversees the facilitation and coordination of plant compliance to TS 16949 quality system and ISO 14001, including performing internal audits, and internal auditor training.
- Facilitates problem solving teams to determine problem definition, root cause analysis, and corrective actions. Analyzes data for effectiveness of actions and proactivity.
- Implements corrective actions and continual improvements into quality management systems and develops new approaches to solve problems identified during quality activities.
- Develops preventive and corrective improvement plans for plant quality measureables.
- Leads or participates on APQP teams as appointed. Prepares and presents technical and program information to team members and management and ensures compliance.
- Develops and initiates standards and methods for inspection, testing, and evaluation.
- Plans and conducts the analysis, inspection, design, test, and/or integration to assure the quality of the assigned product or component
- Devises sampling procedures and designs and develops forms and instructions for recording, evaluating, and reporting quality and reliability data.
- Oversees program to evaluate precision and accuracy of production equipment and testing, measurement, and analytical equipment and facilities
- Oversees all phases of inspection including first Article Inspection, PPAP and receiving and in-process inspection.
- Communicates significant issues or developments identified during quality activities and provides recommended process improvements to management.
- Prepares reports to communicate involvement and results of quality activities.
- Supports plant continual improvement workshops, projects and cost savings objectives.
- Provides good customer service to all customers, both internal and external.
- Demonstrates teamwork by collaborating with others to improve overall standards of performance and service.
Requirements:
- Associate's Degree AA (minimum) or Bachelors (BA/BS) in related discipline and seven to ten years related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
- Experience in Six Sigma, Kaizen Implementations, and Lean Manufacturing are a plus.
- Excellent written and verbal/interpersonal communication skills must have high level organizational skills and attention to detail.
- Ability to work autonomously in a fast paced environment.
