We are looking to recruit an energetic Operations Manager to help drive a number of improvements across the business. This is a diverse role, encompassing a number of different disciplines within an expanding SME.

 

Responsibilities:

 

·         Management of a small team of manufacturing / production / installation professionals and technicians

·         Scheduling and planning of production and assembly 

·         Help drive design improvements to existing products.

·         Sub-Contract / Supplier Management.

·         Make improvements to the procurement function – introducing a more structured approach to supplier selection, negotiation and management.

·         Implement practical lean manufacturing techniques to improve efficiency across the business.

·         Develop and maintain positive customer relationships

·         Drive improvements with site based installation and commissioning teams – ensuring that this key process is as well planned as the production phase which precedes it.

·         Whilst the business has ISO9001 and ISO14001 there is a need for improved levels of methodology, documentation and consistency across all operational processes.

·         We are looking for an Operations Manager to help drive improvements across the business by employing modern professional management techniques.

 

Experience Skills:

 

·         A pragmatic, hands on individual with an analytical, detailed approach.
