Operations manager Job in Maidstone, Southern Uk
A long-established family owned importer and wholesaler of construction products requires an operations manager. The company sells into national chains and trade suppliers.
The role will oversee all aspects of purchasing, import, warehousing, packing, stock control, credit control, transport and distribution. Ability to drive a forklift is required.
You will also be researching new product lines, finding suppliers (globally), managing key accounts (product suppliers, customers and third party services) and supervising packing staff. You will also supervise and assist the sales administrator with database management, updating customer contact information and sales history using Sage Line 50 and ACT. This position reports into and liaises closely with the MD who is based on site. Experience of trade shows, exhibitions and marketing would be an advantage.
