POSITION OVERVIEW:
As the Operations Manager, the emphasis will be to ensure smooth operations of various processes and workflow of the Retail and Technology procurement processes here at CAVA. This role will be to directly support the Director of CAVA, by providing logistics management and overseeing the daily inventory receiving and delivery services and thereby providing timely support in the store’s core activities. This will require the ability to coordinate workflow, update and follow through with delegated tasks with strict adherence to deadlines, maintain procedures manual, as well as the ability to take initiative in the Director’s absence. As needed, this position will also supervise the CAVA inventory staff. Reports to the director of CAVA.
DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITES:
- Supervise and manage the performance of the Inventory Coordinator to ensure prompt receiving and delivery of products / services to internal departments, students, faculty and staff
- Select appropriate methods and techniques for obtaining desired solutions.
- Plan and execute workload of the team to maximize performance and meet service level agreements
- Ensure compliance with attendance policy.
- Work closely with the purchasing and sales functions within CAVA to ensure timely fulfillment of all orders, with direct impact to incoming products on order, such that the weekly turn over of products increases significantly.
- Help maintain and improve the expeditious fulfillment of all orders and focus on accuracy and customer service.
- Help streamline the data storage/retrieval system and manage files as needed.
- Develop and test new procedures whenever necessary following the Director’s approval.
- Take part in administrative meetings to assure follow-through on action plans discussed.
- Take initiative to effectively respond to requests and inquiries of an administrative nature.
- Supervise the staff to help ensure prompt procedural maintenance.
- Assist customers on the sales floor during peak sales periods, should the need arise.
- Assist with special events planning.
- Assist the Director in encouraging and motivating the team to achieve business goals.
- Ability to work retail hours including some evenings, weekends and holidays, as the need arises. Actively participate and help oversee the monthly physical inventory count processes.
- Ensure Customer excellence and delivery of quality products and services.
- Maintain OSHA compliance at all times within the store and storage areas.
QUALIFICATIONS:
- College degree required.
- Exceptional organization, communication, written and time management skills.
- At least 1+ year of supervisory experience.
- Retail experience in technology or a related fields a plus.
- Computer skills required.
- Strong leadership and business acumen essential.
- Facility with numerical data.
